Best keyboards for Mac mini 2024

The Mac mini is the most affordable Mac that you can get with your money. However, it's also the most affordable because you need to bring in your own accessories, including a display, mouse, and a keyboard! It's not an all-in-one solution, but for some people, that works out better. And if you're looking for a great keyboard for your Mac mini, here are some of our favorites.

Bring your own keyboard

Apple's Mac mini is one of the best Macs that you can buy, especially if you want to customize your entire setup from the get-go. Because unlike the iMac, the Mac mini requires you to bring your own display, mouse, and the best keyboard. It's definitely for those who just want a Mac to power up the rest of their workstation, and don't necessarily care for the all-in-one convenience of an iMac or even a great MacBook.

If you want the most Apple-like experience with your Mac mini though, you can't go wrong with the Apple Magic Keyboard. It's super compact, thin, and lightweight, making it a perfect accessory. And if you're already accustomed to Apple's switch mechanisms, the Magic Keyboard welcomes your familiarity.

Personally, I like to go with a mechanical keyboard, so the Keychron Q1 is my keyboard of choice every day. I love feeling each keystroke, and the tactile feeling and clicking sounds of a mechanical switch just make my day complete. Those who prefer a low-profile board like the Magic Keyboard, but want more customization and power should look into Logitech's MX Keys.
