Apple has updated its Leadership page to officially show Phil Schiller’s replacement by Greg Joswiak as Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing.

Schiller was named an Apple Fellow in August, an honorific title that Apple has given to a handful of top employees over the years. Schiller, who still appears on Apple’s list of leaders, will continue to head up the App Store and appear at Apple Events.

Greg Joswiak’s promotion to the SVP of Worldwide Marketing role came more than 20 years after he joined Apple. In his previous role, which he carried out for more than four years, he was Apple’s VP of Worldwide Product Marketing. In his new role he reports directly to Tim Cook.

A recent report noted that there is currently significant succession planning at Apple. According to the report, Joswiak could eventually be succeeded in his post by iPhone marketing VP Kaiann Drance. However, it seems likely that he’ll hold the job for a good few years to come before that handover takes place.

It’s not clear why it took Apple so long to make the transition formal on its Leadership page. When it comes to announcing new products available for sale, Apple pulls the trigger on updating pages very quickly. In other instances, like this, it seems that it just takes a little bit longer.

Still, with two months having elapsed since the transition, hopefully both Joswiak and Schiller have fully settled into their new roles.
