Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon, a four-player dungeon crawler with a 16-bit feel, is the latest game to hack its way onto Apple Arcade. It offers rogue-like action for up to four friends sharing a couch.
It’s a follow-up to Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, an RPG also available through Apple’s gaming service.
But the newest title from Cornfox & Brothers is a different type of game. “With a rogue-lite approach, 16-bit feeling, and a modernized arcade-style, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon can be played over quick sessions inspired by those of our favorite fantasy tabletop games.”
In the game, the Realm of Arcadia has splintered and monsters walk the lands. But a band of adventurers sets out to restore the world to its former glory. They explore the Chronos Dungeon to find the Paradigm Hourglass, an object powerful enough to alter the course of history.
“While the title is developed to be the best family-friendly dungeon crawler out there, you can expect tons of depth leading up to the showdown with Chronos,” promises Cornfox.
