Legends of Kingdom Rush just became the first new game to debut on Apple Arcade since early April. The medieval fantasy RPG is available for iPhone and Mac.

And more games are scheduled to appear on Apple’s subscription gaming service.

Been a long time

On April 2, almost a dozen original games debuted on Apple Arcade, like NBA 2K21 Arcade Edition and Star Trek: Legends. Plus, the service added a bunch of classic ones as well. Since then, nothing new appeared for weeks and weeks.

But that changed Friday with an additional game. Plus, Frenzic: Overtime is scheduled to launch June 18, apparently indicating the long hiatus without additions is really over.

Legends of Kingdom Rush slashes onto Apple Arcade

Fans of strategic role-playing games should be pleased with Ironhide’s Legends of Kingdom Rush. Players choose a party of heroes to travel the realm and fight monsters that are part of an extraplanar menace.

It’s available for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. And the game support touchscreens as well as external game controllers.

Playing Legends of Kingdom Rush requires a $4.99-per-month Apple Arcade subscription. Still, the service comes with close to 200 games. And there will never be in-app purchases, ads or tricky loot boxes.

Similar RPGs on Apple Arcade include Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon, Fantasian, and more.
