Apple TV+ continues to shell out money to get first dibs on new film and television projects.

As reported by The Wrap, Adam McKay's Hyperobject Industries has signed a first-look multi-year film deal with Apple. While the production company is involved with a number of other projects, the deal appears to be focused on films.

McKay's Hyperobject Industries team includes his longtime producer Kevin Messick and producers Betsy Koch and Todd Schulman. Though the production company has a wide range of features, series, podcasts and documentaries, the deal with Apple is for scripted feature films.

McKay is an accomplished writer, producer, and director with a number of projects under his belt like The Big Short, Vice, and Ant-Man. He is currently working on a new disaster comedy for Netflix.

McKay's next feature is "Don't Look Up" for Netflix, a comedy about two low-level astronomers who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching asteroid that will destroy Earth. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence and DiCaprio.
