Apple's brand new $99 MagSafe Battery Pack is now on sale and available for in-store pickup around the globe. You can collect today depending on where you're located — and it will be much quicker than waiting for Apple to deliver one of its fancy new chargers.

The new battery pack is designed to attach itself to the back of an iPhone 12 via the magic of magnets, wirelessly charging the iPhone as it goes. It's already dividing opinion due to its high price and somewhat bland looks, but its ability to also act as a MagSafe charger when plugged in is an added bonus.

Attaching the MagSafe Battery Pack is a snap. Its compact, intuitive design makes on-the-go charging easy. And its perfectly aligned magnets keep it attached to your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro — providing safe and reliable wireless charging.

Anyone ordering a new MagSafe Battery Pack in the UK can collect their new toy from an Apple Store right now, but ordering for delivery will see a wait that could stretch into August. I'd suggest getting yourself to a local store if you're keen to have your battery pack sooner rather than later.

The new battery pack will of course work with the upcoming iPhone 13 when it arrives in or around September. The current line of iPhones is still around however, and the iPhone 12 remains the best iPhone for most people.
