Jazz great Miles Davis probably never imagined one of his classic song titles, “All Blues,” would end up in a headline about an M1 iMac-based computer setup. And it’s not every day you see a completely color-coordinated workstation that’s not just “Kind of Blue” (to drop another title), but drenched in blue hues.

An all-blue setup
Redditor techsteveo surely started with the 2021 24-inch iMac — quite lovely in blue — and then found himself obsessing over the color. The 2021 iMac comes with color-matched Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse. They all feature an alluring pale-metallic azure.
So far, we count a blue computer with blue input devices on Steve’s desktop. But then his workstation, celebrated in a post entitled “All blue M1 iMac living room setup,” ended up with a a blue Satechi USB-C hub, a blue Satechi folding iPhone stand and a blue leather Satechi desk mat.
All blues.
Sweet blue iMac
In 2021, the slim new 24-inch M1 iMac — just 11.5mm thick — made a big splash both for its nifty array of seven colors and its power-packed specs. At the entry level, you get 8GB of integrated RAM and a 256GB solid state drive (SSD), plus an M1 chip delivering plenty of power through an eight-core CPU and a seven-core GPU.
The new iMacs feature an immersive, 24-inch 4.5K Retina display with a P3 wide-color gamut and 500 nits of brightness. That all makes for a rich and bright-looking monitor — just the sort of thing people expect from Apple.
The onboard camera got an upgrade, too. It’s a 1080p FaceTime HD camera with M1 ISP for great video quality. And a studio-quality three-mic array enables clear calls and voice recordings. A six-speaker sound system provides a robust audio experience.
The machine packs two Thunderbolt/USB-4 ports and up to two USB-3 ports. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless.
The next iMac, with a 27-inch display, promises to be a major refresh, too.
Blue Satechi USB-C hub
Next up in Steve’s blue-centric workstation is his Satechi USB-C Combo Hub for Desktop. He can use it to copy files, download movies and back up the iMac with USB 3.0 speeds up to 5Gbps.
The handy, brushed-aluminum hub can expand a single USB-C port to three USB 3.0 data ports and micro/SD card readers for quick and easy data transfer.
Satechi says the hub is a plug-and-play device, supporting hot swapping and requiring no extra drivers or software. In addition to blue, it comes in silver and space gray colors.
Blue Satechi foldable tablet (or iPhone) stand
Steve’s Satechi R1 Aluminum Multi-Angle Foldable Tablet Stand is made not just for a wide variety of tablets, but also for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 lineups.
The hands-free display features solid aluminum construction and rubber pads that grip Steve’s iPhone to prevent scratches or sliding. For the perfect viewing angle, he can easily adjust it among portrait, landscape or flat orientations with a 270-degree mount and base hinge.
It’s also small and collapsible, which makes it portable. In addition to blue, it comes in silver, gold, space gray and rose gold colors.

Blue leather Satechi desk mat
The last blue item in Steve’s setup is also a Satechi product. It’s the Satechi Eco-Leather Desk Mate, a desk mat.
Crafted from quality polyurethane leather, the Deskmate helps protect Steve’s desk and acts as a stable and comfortable resting surface for typing and moving a mouse.
The water-resistant material is easy to clean, too, Satechi says.
