Eve Systems announced the release of its second HomeKit-enabled security camera on Tuesday — the Eve Outdoor Cam. First introduced back at CES 2022, the Eve Outdoor Cam is the first floodlight camera designed exclusively for HomeKit Secure Video.

Eve's latest camera features a sleek IP 55 weather-resistant aluminum frame highlighted by a large integrated LED floodlight. The LED floodlight works independently from Wi-Fi or HomeKit for maximum security, but users have access to sensitivity and brightness adjustments.
Like the Eve Cam — one of our picks for best HomeKit cameras — the Eve Outdoor Cam also supports many HomeKit-enabled camera staples. These include 1080p HD video at 24fps, a wide-angle 157-degree field of view, two-way audio, and motion detection capable of spotting activity up to 100 feet away.
As you might have guessed, the camera is designed to replace an existing floodlight outdoors and, as such, requires a neutral and ground wire for installation. However, smart home connectivity is completely wireless via Wi-Fi, and once it is up and running, the Eve Outdoor Cam supports all of Apple's HomeKit Secure Video features: 10-day cloud storage, Activity Zones, smart notifications, and Face and Package Detection.
