Apple opened a website Thursday that lets Apple Card users see their balances, pay their monthly bills and more. Until today, cardholders could only do these tasks on an iPhone or iPad.
While using the iPhone Wallet app is still generally more convenient, the online version is always available as a backup.
Previously, someone who lost their iPhone and didn’t own an iPad as a backup needed to contact support to make Apple Card payments. It’s not possible to make them in the Mac’s Wallet app. But now the web version is available.

The new site for managing an Apple Card (card.apple.com) offers many of the features of the iPhone Wallet app. Users can pay off their monthly bill, and they’ll be warned how much interest they’ll accrue. However, the online version lacks the convenient sliding payment wheel of the iPhone software.
Users also can see recent transactions online or download monthly statements in PDF format. The Wallet app allows these to be exported in additional formats.
Apple Card holders received an email today notifying them of the change. “We’ve added the ability to access and manage Apple Card online. You can use card.apple.com to make, schedule, or cancel payments; check your available credit; view Monthly Statements; and review your Apple Card Customer Agreement, APR, and other rate information,” reads the notice.
Apple is the face, but Goldman Sachs is the banker
In 2019, the Mac-maker and Goldman Sachs teamed up on the Apple credit card. It’s made of titanium, and Apple suggests customers use it where its contactless-payment system Apple Pay isn’t accepted.
Like most such cards, Apple Card offers cash back — which it calls “Daily Cash” — on purchases. The standard amount is 1%, though special promotions increase this. The money goes into the user’s Apple Cash account each day. It can be used to make other purchases, or transferred to the user’s bank account.
