Apple to Delay iPadOS 16 Launch Until October

iOS 16 and watchOS 9 are still expected to be released in September, with iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura to follow in October.

Gurman said delaying the release of iPadOS 16 will allow Apple to dedicate more engineering resources towards finishing iOS 16 development, and provide Apple with more time to refine iPadOS 16's new Stage Manager multitasking feature, which has received some criticism.

Hints of iPhone 14 Pro Always-On Display May Be in Xcode 14

Rumors suggest that the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro models will feature an always-on display, similar to the Apple Watch, and hints of what that always-on display might look like are possibly hiding in plain sight in the latest beta of Apple's developer tool Xcode.

The always-on display would let users view the time and date, number of unread notifications, and iOS 16's new Lock screen widgets without having to tap to wake the screen.

Apple needs to delay IOS 16 as it is a complete disaster. I cannot even use Photos or Image Capture to download pics to my Mac Pro. I find this bug simply unbelievable and inexcusable and Apple seems to have no clue how to fix it from my talks with tech support.

Because I took a LOT of pictures under IOS 16 on a trip, I had no choice but to back up my iPhone to IOS 16. So there is no way for me to downgrade to IOS 15.6 without losing over 100 photos. Unacceptable Apple, completely unacceptable.
That’s on you for downloading beta on your main device

you should never do that. Rookie move

Maybe installing a beta wasn't such a good move?

Please note that since the public beta software has not yet been commercially released by Apple, it may contain errors or inaccuracies and may not function as well as commercially released software.

Is it unacceptable though? It’s a beta release and an early one at that. You accepted the risks when you downloaded it to your device.

Ask for a replacement unit. I’ve seen a lot of people who’ve had a great experience with their Apple Studio Display. ?‍♂️
I agree, I bought a Studio Display and use it everyday for work, I love it. I compared other screens but just couldn't beat the overall aesthetic and build quality, I was loathed to pay that sort of money but in the end I'm glad I did. I haven't had any problems with my speakers yet, but good to know a software fix has been issued.
As for the camera, it might not be that great and it should have been better but when using in multiple meetings a day, there's been no complaints and quite frankly when at work, no one cares.

It’s not news, only the latest Mark German rumor. I highly doubt Apple would delay the pairing of iPadOS feature by a month. If something isn’t ready it gets incorporated in a later release like Universal Control.
Rumors are news. It’s literally in the name of the website, not to mention that Bloomberg is a reputable source.

Apple has delayed the release of iPadOS before, so I don’t think it’s unreasonable for them to delay it again.
