Accessories maker Moft offered a new folding wallet Thursday that magnetically sticks to your iPhone 12 or 13, but also acts as a stand whenever you need one.

Carry your license and another card with your handset. Set the stand to take a video call or watch a YouTube video. What’s not to like?

Well, some folks might not like the two-card maximum, but that could work fine for others.

Moft’s new wallet-stand accessory unfolds to reveal of pocket with a window so you can quickly show your ID. Plus there’s room for another card, like a credit or healthcare card. It works with RFID/NFC chip cards for tap-to-pay and such.

When you use it as a stand, you can set the iPhone in either portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal) mode. That’s handy for taking calls, watching videos or web browsing.

The new wallet is available in four colors: night black, hello yellow, oxford blue and windy blue.

Moft MagSafe Flash Wallet & Stand features:

  • Made of vegan leather
  • MagSafe compatible
  • Stores 2 cards
  • Flip design to easily display or tap cards
  • 3 adjustable stand angles
  • Stand enables portrait or landscape mode

Can you get by with 2 cards?

You could say there’s a bit of a tradeoff here. The product is slim. So, on the one hand, it won’t add much bulk to the iPhone in your pocket. On the other hand, you can only carry two cards in it.

If you pay with almost everything with your iPhone anyway, it could make sense just to carry two essential cards (license/ID and healthcare ID, for example). Or you could carry a few cards separately.

Perhaps the fact that it serves as a kickstand for an iPhone will be a deciding factor for potential purchasers.

The Moft MagSafe Flash Wallet & Stand costs $34.99, and you can get it at Moft or Amazon. Preorders of night black, Oxford blue or windy blue ship on August 25, Moft said. Preorder of Hello Yellow ship on September 1.
