Console gamers can get the party going with BenQ’s new 4LED projector

BenQ unveiled its new TH690ST short-throw 4LED projector Friday, calling it “the world’s first 4LED video party projector with preset game modes for bringing big entertainment to any gathering.”

You connect it to any gaming console or other video source with an HDMI cable to get the party started. Oh, and don’t forget to have a wall to project on.

BenQ debuts 4LED immersive short-throw projector for console gaming

BenQ is known for projectors, displays, monitor light bars and more. It’s new TH690ST 1080p projector aims to capture social gamers’ attention through high-quality DCI-P3 color performance, low input lag and bright 4LED light.

“The TH690ST’s 2300 lumens of LED high brightness, high contrast via Dynamic Black technology and 1080p resolution bring games to life in stunning colors, offering a high-quality gaming experience in any social setting,” said Houston Wei, senior director of BenQ North America.

Suitable for social gaming and other entertainment

Whether you’re gaming or having the gang over to watch a big game, the projector’s short-throw ratio can project 100-inch images even in small rooms. It features 98% Rec.709, 84% DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR compatibility, universal connectivity and a quick 8.3ms response time, BenQ said.

You can use the projector in bright settings, too. That’s because it delivers 2,300 lumens of 4LED brightness and projects 1.07 billion colors.

With 30,000 hours of LED lighting, enhanced contrast ratio powered by LED Dynamic Black Technology and 5Wx2 chambered treVolo speakers, the TH690ST brings bright imagery and loud sound.

The TH690ST is also 4K HDR compatible with low input lag, the company said.

Specialized gaming modes

The TH690ST is equipped with specialized modes to optimize gaming. They include fast mode to minimize response time and enhance the controlling experience, and game mode to adjust brightness based on surroundings.

Featuring HDMI 2.0b and universal connectivity, the TH690ST is compatible with all gaming consoles. That includes PlayStation 5, XboX Series X and Nintendo Switch.

The BenQ TH690ST projector price falls around $1,099. You can find it at BenQ.com, Amazon, Best Buy, B&H Photo, Adorama and ProjectorPeople.com, the company said.

And an many retailers will offer an early bird discount of $100 from August 18 through September 8.
