Luke Miani used to bully me in Middle School. In 2007 he would make fun of my 2006 Core Duo white MacBook because he had the new 2007 Core 2 Duo MacBook in black.

Years later at a reunion he brought it up again and asked what laptop I use nowadays. I pulled out my M1 MacBook Air which got the attention of a lot of eyes at the party. But, some things never change.... to my surprise he just sort of smirked and said,"That's cute" while he pulled out the Midnight M2 MacBook Air. There were gasps from every direction as my self esteem shrank once again to nothing, all thanks to Luke Miani.

So yeah, besides my PTSD triggering panic attacks throughout, this was a great show. MacRumors has a very great content team and I enjoy listening. Thanks guys.

I go back and forth on how genuine Miani is. Sometimes his stuff seems genuine and valuable, other times it's clear he is stroking the algorithm or Apple ego for all it's worth. There were a few videos where he did some cleanups and upgrades of older, but still serviceable Macs that were great, but then he got into the "I bought a box of 105 MacBooks that were run over by a train and then tossed in the local flood control channel. How many can I low effort get booting?" fad and lost me a bit.

I find some of his videos to be well done and informative, but he often lowers himself to clickbait titles like a putz.
Unfortunately the sad reality is videos with clickbait titles tend to do a lot better with the YouTube algorithm. I don’t mind them as long as the video itself is well made and informative. Creators needed to eat too.
