BenQ recently added its 27-inch PD2706UA Design Monitor for home productivity to its lineup of screens that ship with the Ergo Arm. It follows the 27-inch PD2705UA and the 32-inch PD3205UA, both aimed more specifically at designers for their color accuracy.

All three displays offer customizable ergonomic design with plenty of options for movement on the Ergo Arm.

BenQ PD2706UA DesignVue Monitor

BenQ’s newest DesignVue Ergo Arm monitor is the PD2706UA, released Wednesday.

“With the PD2706UA, designers and professionals, especially those who work from home, will appreciate the intuitive design with maximized comfort and flexibility for any purpose,” said Jason Lee, LCD business manager.

“BenQ constantly seeks out new ways to improve monitors for designers and YouTubers/video editors and we’re excited to add the PD2706UA to our Ergo Arm models, as a new top-of-the-line option with impeccable color performance, user convenience and the ultimate viewing comfortability,” he added.

In addition to the innovative Ergo Arm, the display brings solid color performance, USB-C connectivity and a KVM switch.

“With a customizable ergonomic design and high-quality color performance, the PD2706UA features 4K UHD with AQCOLOR technology. [It also features] 90W USB-C for one cable connectivity, KVM with one key switch for multitasking, Display Pilot software to better facilitate screen use, and supports full flexibility through its Ergo Arm,” the company said.

The monitor comes with BenQ’s “uniformity technology.” It’s designed to provide “corner-to-corner authentic color and consistent luminescence.” And “Attentive modes” offer quick access to the smoothest workflow.

Matches Macs’ sense of color

The Mac-compatible PD2706UA features 95% display P3 industry standard color gamut to match Mac devices, BenQ noted.

The screen also sports HDR400 for brightness, black levels and color conformity. The device transmits audio and video data to help reduce the need for other devices and cables. It also offers 90-watt power delivery to charge a MacBook.

A built-in KVM switch lets designers control two Macs or PCs with different operating systems with only one keyboard and mouse.

Joins other new 27- and 32-inch DesignVue models

BenQ’s PD2706UA joins the Ergo Arm series lineup along with the 27-inch PD2705UA and 32-inch PD3205UA.

The three share plenty of features, 4K UHD, USB-C and ergonomic customization. But the PD2705UA and PD3205UA bring 99% sRGB color gamut. That’s designed to better-meet graphic designers’ needs.

All Ergo Arm series monitors support customization for swivel, height adjustment, pivoting, tilting and cable management inside the arm, BenQ said.

Preorder pricing

The new BenQ PD2706UA costs $629.99. The PD2705UA lists for $599.99 and the PD3205UA is $749.99. All are available for preorder.
